We’re All Back |
Our school is full once again! Final-year students have returned from their practicums (work experience) in all parts of Rwanda, and with their arrival, the school has returned to its daily routine. Laughter and clamour, as well as the noise produced by all sorts of machines and tools once more fill our schoolyard and make us smile. It’s really nice when everyone’s back, because the school without students seems so desolate and empty. The students from the first year of welding, plumbing and electricity, and tailors, builders and carpenters from the second year have returned to the school, enriched with much needed experience of working in real work settings - on construction sites and in workshops throughout Rwanda. Any vocational school that strives to excel, sees that equal attention is given to both theoretical and practical learning. Our students have had the opportunity to see for themselves how well equipped and excellent our school is, because most of them have done their practical work in places where workers hadn’t even heard of the machines and tools at our disposal in our school, let alone had them and knew how to use them. Now that everyone’s back and full of enthusiasm, we can get down to business and do our best to bring the school year to a successful conclusion. Translated by: Branimir Mlakić Photo Gallery |
