Thank you, dear friends! |
The unpredictability of human goodness is fascinating. Of course, we cannot and don’t want to measure goodness in terms of money, but sometimes we even have to do that, because our mission is largely reliant on donations of money. Each and every donation means a great deal to us. It doesn’t matter if it’s just one dollar or a much larger sum. Because, as they say back in my homeland: Grain by grain – a loaf of bread; stone by stone – a palace… And that’s why we treat all donations with equal respect. We know that people help us out according to their means, themselves often being limited. But a few days ago a person from Germany surprised us a lot. He remains anonymous, so I have no other way to thank him other than writing this. On our mission’s account, intended for the construction of the secondary school, he made a donation of 20,000 euros! Given our circumstances, that is an exceptionally large sum of money, and will greatly aid us in our efforts to start the construction of the future secondary school. This is just one of numerous examples of people finding out about our mission through the internet and following our work, plans and goals on our website. It’s really wonderful to see how the Lord finds ways to reach our hearts... even through the internet! Thanks to technology, our network of friends is constantly expanding, which encourages us to persist in achieving our goals. The children of this parish, dear friends, are truly and endlessly grateful to all of you. Together we provide them with things each child deserves to have – a warm meal and education; and believe me, the knowledge they acquire here will help them in the future. There are already countless examples of education working wonders! And that’s why I would like to thank everyone for following us and selflessly helping us on our journey. May you continue to be inspired by God’s love! May God give you all a lot of blessings, peace, and love! Translated by: Branimir Mlakić Photo Gallery |
