First Term is over |
The first of April, 2010 was a very special day for CFJ Padri Vjeko School. That was the day when the parents and students from the school gathered together at the end of first term. The day’s events included a meeting for the parents and an opportunity for the students to get results of their end of term exams. The parents were certainly excited, but the students were even more excited. Everyone wanted to see the marks they got and there was chaos everywhere! When this happened, our very serious watchman, Francois, was a great help in restoring order to the place. At our meeting, the parents of the students promised to work more closely with teachers to help them to improve the standard in the school. As well, they promised to improve conditions in Kivumu and surrounding area. After the meeting, the parents toured the school to see the classrooms and equipment that their children had been using during their studies. They also visited the site where the newly baked bricks had recently been prepared by their children. First term has now finished for our two hundred and seventy-four children and second term starts on the 19th of April. |
