Dear Visitor,
We are very happy to inform you of what we have been doing this past month in Kivumu. You will find a very interesting article from our teacher Jean-Paul Habanabakize who is presently in Canada. He wrote this to us from “far away” with so many positive and happy experiences.
At the same time you can read an article about our biggest donor – Franziskaner Mission from Dortmund, Germany, who, with the goodness of the German people, help us so much. All this and even more information, you can find on our web-site!

Franziskaner MissionNothing we do in our Kivumu mission would be possible without the help of our donors from around the world to whom we owe endless gratitude. Good people who have been there for us and who have unselfishly helped for years share our joy about the progress of this parish, which has for the last few years experienced substantial...

There’s a bit of good in every evilWe recently noticed that we were running out of wooden planks we bought for our carpenters’ section way too fast. The carpenters use them for practice. They learn woodworking and make their first pieces of furniture out of those planks. After they’ve mastered the basics, they then manufacture pieces of furniture which are...

Who are you arguing with?During my stay in Rwanda I celebrated my birthday. Given that I was so far away from my family, fra Ivica decided to throw a birthday party for me. We were joined by the school teachers, and we partied under the moonlit starry sky, with drums, by the camp fire. The sound of the drums was joined by the crickets with their chirp, frogs with their croaking...

You Europeans don’t even know how to liveWhile I stayed in Kivumu, with my cousin fra Ivica Perić, almost every day he shocked me in some way, but I also shocked him... with my lifestyle. I thought, “My cousin is more African than European! He doesn’t even know how to use the cutlery – the fork and the knife – anymore. He eats everything with his hands, even the sauces.” I observed him...

My Canadian Growing-UpI was really nervous; everything around me was totally different. But what “shook” me in particular was – the snow and the below-zero temperatures! You see, in Canada I was welcomed by a lot of snow and - 16 (minus sixteen!) degrees. You can imagine what a shock that was for me, growing up in a land of eternal spring where temperatures...

If you are able, please donate for helping to educate the children at our Center
Rwanda is small country with population of 11 million. Because of this, often there is no opportunity to buy land on which to build a school. And if there is any land available, the price is very high compared with the Rwandan standards. The price for our new school is around 70.000 Euros. We need help to do this and we invite you to donate for our new school. More info...
